Making the Holocaust and other genocides relevant to your students can sometimes be a challenge. This session will focus on Echoes and Reflections, leaders in Holocaust education, and specifically on the technique of using visual history testimony, available online, to help your students connect to those who witnessed the atrocities perpetrated by the Nazi party during World War Two.
We will begin by examining one lesson from the Echoes and Reflections resouce guide and it's accompanying primary sources and continue with an examination of relevant testimony available to teachers and students in a digital format.
Audience: all 6-12th grade teachers who touch on this subject in their classrooms.
